Why didn't Lichess server declare this game a draw?

Those noobs rules... ever heard of the „reduced to king“ thingy?

(S)He must mean insufficient material thingy. as someone used to varying terminology to make sure I don't use a vague word in vain, I may have the flexibility to try to understand same wording.

but i don't know if the rule mentioning insufficient material is about draw (i have never experienced it, so did not pay too much attention, given my freedom of chess experience with no responsabilities on my shoulders). or else. so now that i may have translated, those in the know might answer the previous commenter.

@dboing ‘s choice of words is always something special.

Your a smart guy, stop doubting yourself every inch of the way and cut yourself some slack please. There’s no need to put every phrase in a comparative. Just speak your mind and accept that eventually you’ll make a mistake since your a human. Unless your a lawyer then forget what I said :P

Not lawyer, but solo thinking for ages has given a strong internal debate mechanism which I have to restrain. It keeps interrupting my flow. That debate thingy is strong with me. I also pay more attention to debated material than to linear stream material. But I get your point. Thank you.
i thought i saw it in the power of chess
(looking at book again)
"A player can claim a draw if no capture has been made and no pawn has moved in the previous 50 moves. Once a player is reduced to a lone king, the opponent has 50 moves in which to deliver checkmate or the game will be declared a draw."
That's my coach clyde wolpe for you
it seems the long king draw follows from the no capture and no pawn move draw rule. A particular case.
Good to stipulate as conclusion. That the win is no automatic because there might be a 50 move draw if not careful.
Plus the tournament attendance won't hang the players. or is that the job of the referee. Impatient tournamentees....
besides what i thought it meant (ugh this checkmate puzzle is so hard)
