I've been playing chess since October of 2019, a few months before the coronavirus pandemic. I went to my first OTB tournament in September of 2021 with a friend, then to three more with that same friend. Here, I am planning my tournament schedule for 2024, and am planning a blog post for each of my tournaments.
I've gone to 6 over-the-board (OTB) chess tournaments, and am currently rated 1206 USCF. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to attend some more tournaments in 2024, and made myself a rating goal of 1400 USCF by the end of April 2024. I’ve scheduled a 3-round tournament for Saturday, January 6. I am also going to start live-streaming on YouTube (link is in my lichess profile). If all goes well in January, I will schedule 1 or 2 tournaments for February, and make a blog post recapping each. I hope to see you soon!
