how did you think up your lichess username ?

im curious to hear it. some people have really interesting usernames

I saw that I sometimes offer draw in won positions, and that nobody else ever does it.
I figured that man + insect is kinda stupid - Spider-Man, Bat-Man, Ninja-Turtles,
so... Mercy-Man.

Who says I activated my brain to choose this nickname? Do you wanna insult me?

I couldn't think of anything...so I just went with my own name xD

Well, i played chess since i was a kid. I did not made my nickname for lichess, Alien_Invasor and other variations were the originals, but most variations used underscore or other non standard character, so my nickname was either too long for some forums, or they didnt accepted some of those characters.

So, i removed the last part and changed it for "tcp" <---- Stands for "The chess player". I liked it, it works anywhere i want to log in or create an account, and ill use it until i dont access the web.

But the nickname was created probably before Lichess even existed.
