My Favorite Chess Advice: Talk To Your Pieces

<Comment deleted by user>
I would like to make the bishop
on b3 a happier piece anywhere else, lets play a3 not to make the a2 pawn lost and later bring the bishop to a2, b1 and let him slice black's kingside. The best place for the bishop would be to take on b7 but afterwards we would have to exchange it for a rook so he wouldnt live and for sure its not the best approach :)
Stockfish thinks, vacillates, plays g4. It must think all the pieces are happy!
I tried Rxe4, but SF refutes it easily.

I think that another term needs to be added to find out worst piece.
"Useful" = serving an active useful function.
1) The Rooks on the e-file are competing for control of of the open file (only pawns matter by that definition) and help prevent invades on c2 (eying f2/b2). They are serving a useful function.
2) The Bishop is a bit restricted but not inactive. The Bishop is tied to the defense of a2 and applying pressure to d5. I would like to untie him from a2 but he is not un-useful.
3) The knight is pretty on his post at e4 but is he serving a Active purpose? I believe that the Knight needs to be rerouted to a more useful square.

Where? a post at g4 has some merits while e3 blocks your rooks... I would pick b4.
Bare with me.
At b4, you lock down the weakness of double island pawns, you free the Bishop to relocate if needed, you can be supported by pa3. I think the knight should take his unorthodox gait across the chessboard by means of d3-b4. Does this win the game flat out? nope but i find it difficult to find good moves from the black side.

"In positions of strategic maneuvering (where time is not of decisive significance) seek the worst-placed piece. Activating that piece is often the most reliable way of improving your position as a whole." from Positional Play by Dvoretsky and Yusopov
I loved this blog post and I like a3 the best--because of the blog post
Theres no problem with talking to your pieces. YOu should only be cocerned when they start talking back.
