Yes,
This sacrifice was sound as 16. Bxg6 was a tactic called the "Clearance Sacrifice", in which we are sacrificing some material in order to open up some space. Likewise, when Bxg6 occurred, (if xg6 happened) the entire King-side got open and White got a positional advantage...
@Tough_Fighter that's not really the definition of a clearance though. A clearance is when you clear (/move out of) the way for another piece, somewhat similar to a discovered attack.
I think both are right for in the current example White sacrificed his/her Bishop to make the King-side open...
i stilldid mess up the game though, so there is no point in explaining fancy chess terms
Three pwans for a piece is alwyas a good deal. You just have to take into account that you have a double pawn on g which is not that valuable as a pawn on h.
i just checked the after game analysis and i have 3 mistakes and 10 blunders
just your average game
