im on the women-dont-fuck-up-their-life-to-prove-they-are-better-than-others-in-a-game side. sure, carlsens and caruanas make a good buck but not everyone is like them^^
i know a 2000 fide rated female that argues that she doesnt want to play against females because she cant take them seriously as they are not as aggressive as their male counterparts and loose to her while the games are feeling boring. maybe male characters are more likely to have the need to crush other egos to satisfy their own but im just guessing.
somewhat related: if i identify as gender fluid can i get my WCM title ( or maybe higher ) somehow? just kidding.

Yhikes this thread is not very nice. My girlfriend can beat a lot of players locally. She plays me sometimes and I am slightly better but she is not titled or anything. She could become titled probably pretty easy. Her record against me is like 4-10-4ish.

Funny arguments here, ofc there are examples of some women being better players than some men, but the fact is in general, they are weaker chess players than men. And if someone says this fact (yes fact, check the list of all the world champions, check average ratings, and check strongest man and strongest woman rating) people accuse and bash him. This modern world has some crazy needs.

It's a fact! Men are better then women in this discipline! An no, not because they spend less time playing chess (thats TOTALLY retarded), but because their brain is better at dealing with other kinds of things, not decision making, problem solving, etc. The skills which you need for chess.

Since/time immemorial man is the hunter and warrior. Therefore it is not surprising that man are better in a sport/game of war. lol

The level of male hormone testosterone is very much higher in man compared to woman. Testosterone is also responsible for the aggression and competitive behaviour in human. It so happened that chess is accidentally invented and made to be "imaginative violent" like this that is wired for the human male. IMHO. bye friends
I cant deny the fact that men are better in chess though. But to say all are worse is a very obvious misstep.
