Somehow I feel that several months ago there had way more users on lichess than these days. Like 30% more if I would have to give a number. Can anyone confirm this? And what might be the cause? People on vacations may be?
Actually based on Google analytics the active users increased within the last months.

Yeah, we went from k-12 and college students being off in the summer, to everyone back to school.
Interestingly on my rating graph, my rating dipped a week after school started for me (8/22). I've stopped playing after that. No time (calculus, chemistry, etc).

I looked at the number of users on the website and there was 14k @1:00pm est. More than likely is does somewhat seem to correlate with students going back to school. Perhaps the peek number of users will just be at a different time.

Shows where people are playing at and maybe if you wanted to watch it while you're region's students would be in school it may help prove everyone's theory.

less game seeks, and when i put out, takes a while before someone accepts
now u ppl state it - my rating was nearly 200 points lower as long as the students had off in my country and now magically went up again XD
