DISCLAIMER:at lower levels you should never resign!!! Ur opponent can stalemate u or blunder their queen after thinking for 10 minutes in otb or online chess if you are a beginner.
A lot of people will say that resigning is honrable and that u should resign when lost, i disagree,
as long as there are lots of pieces on the board u should not resign even if u r down a rook, in speed chess (especaily with no increment) u should not resign if ur oponent has low time.
BUT if there are few pieces on the board and the other player has lots of time (or there is increment of atleast +2), THEN u should resign(since u have no chance whatsoever)
