Longplay game

Wow, ok. Pretty nice game! Not sure about the 7...c6, I have a feeling either Nb6 or Nc6 must be theory, but I'm not Grunfeld expert. Also, 16...c5 might be a nice idea? Trying to exploit his center. For instance, if he goes 17. d5 we have 17...Nd7, probably winning a pawn.

I like the tactic of 22...Bxd5, but it seems the resulting endgame is hard to win. Maybe 21...Nf4 is another try. All in all, pretty sweet game! Don't really think you missed anything. Very strong play, man. Congrats.
#2 Thanks a lot for looking through it, pleased you liked it!

Yes c6 is a bit passive but I wanted to blunt the light-squared bishop, not sure there's anything hugely wrong with it.

I didn't really consider 16...c5 as it felt it might give him too many squares for the knight on c3, but it looks like it might work tactically. Maybe 17. h3 is a move here.

I did seriously think about 21...Nf4 - I was a bit worried about Nf4 and Bc4 hanging and thought I was just winning a pawn in the variation we played (which I was but my opponent managed to bail out).

27...Ra5 might be the way to try and win the ending by keeping the Rooks on.
