Will the site still have the option for a black background?

I love the Black background, and I'm sure thousands of other players do too...

Of course the black background is here to stay! I have no idea what could make you think otherwise.

So its what new users will see when they are not logged in?
I like the idea but a couple things:

-- Are anon users no longer able to play? New design suggests one must register first... or at least they may not realize they can play without registering.

-- I liked the live game and puzzle, players online - even the updating challenge list when you are not logged in... looks like the site has life. New design loses that - you cannot really tell how active/vibrant the site really is with the options presented - functional but 'dry' - so may not bother registering (unless I am missing something).

Sooooo, when's the site gonna be updated, or is this just a concept ;).

What you have seen is just the menu. Homepage is (almost) unchanged.
Anon users are as first-class citizens as ever. That won't change.

I'm race-coing that thing today. Site is to be updated tonight.
