I like it. But never tried so far.
So far I tried to fish only with spinning (well, with a simple fishing rod as well).
Unfortunately, there is not enough time for fishing...

As they say
The worst day of fishing
Is better than the best day of work.

Give a man a fish
And you feed him
One day.
Teach a man to fish
And you give him a reason
To sit in a boat
And drink beer
All day
I've never done fly fishing but I LOVE sea fishing especially since a lot of the fish have never seen bait or hooks before and don't know not to gobble it, and then you can cook most of your catch and they are sooo yummy
I'd like to say I fished Gunpowder Falls with a buddy but we mostly just casted it, never getting a bite on a fly. That's been better than 10 years ago, I think. It was summer and outside of the timeframe where DNR stock rainbows. The only thing I caught all day was a single rock bass on a small jig spinner after switching to my spinning rod. That was one more fish than my pal. It was good casting practice at least, and we got to see Jerusalem Mill and the Jericho Covered Bridge.

I mostly fish spinning and bait casters as the neighborhood ponds around here either have steep banks or high traffic foot paths. Nothing but roll casts gets old after a while, not being able to reach choice laydowns.

I have wanted to take up fly tying. Tedious tasks with tiny and intricate objects are my cuppa when I can lay off the caffeine long enough to steady my hands. But I've too many hobbies as it stands.
@lokomis you could always try a steeple cast.lakes and ponds I usually have better luck with spoons but I do like the Blue Fox spinners.i like all kinds of fishing but I do find fishing for catfish kinda boring.
@Dukedog I never had much luck with inline spinners but I used to form my own jig spinners. Bit bigger than "Beetle Spin" brand so I could use 1/16oz darter jigs and Yamamoto single-tail grubs. Catches everything from mid-large panfish, large and small mouth, walleye, muskie, striper, etc. Definitely a fan of classic spoons too. I've more than a few Dardevles laying around.

Only catfish I've enjoyed reeling in are mid-size channels in the Potomac. They tend to run and fight versus the big blue cats that just death roll and try to wind your line up. Last I'd heard DNR was more concerned about blue cats than snakehead.

Of course we've had snakehead in the Potomac for over a decade now but they're fortunately tasty and easy to clean so people have been managing them well. Those are actually really fun to catch. Super aggressive about smashing top water lures, and they they fight just like a river small mouth as long as you don't let them sit in to the silt and weeds. Lots of darting and turning.
